“I cried when I was sat in the airport waiting to leave because it was so good” -Bobby's Dad - May 2025 We were lucky enough to spend ten days exploring Namibia with my dad whilst driving the length of Africa. Him in a 4x4 pickup with roof tent, and us in the truck. This country BY FAR was our favourite in Africa, and second across our whole 2 years world tour. Kyrgyzstan taking top spot. The wildlife, the landscapes, the peacefulness, the adventure, the camp-spots…and on it goes. AND we had SUCH a good time, our next global travel in the new truck is aiming for Southern Africa where we hope to spend almost a year exploring the beauty. So join us for a once in a lifetime trip to explore this incredible country, for a proper slice of adventure.

Day to Day.

Day 1 – Arrival in Windhoek

You arrive in Windhoek and will be brought to a comfortable lodge. The evening is relaxed — time to settle in, adjust to the African air, and meet the group over dinner.

Day 2 – Windhoek to Spitzkoppe

We leave the city behind and head north-west into vast desert landscapes. Tonight we camp beneath the towering granite peaks of Spitzkoppe — silence, space, and endless stars. Namibia’s first true WOW moment.

Day 3 – Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund

The morning is spent exploring ancient San (Bushman) rock paintings and wandering through dramatic desert scenery. From here we continue to the coast, arriving on the outskirts of Swakopmund where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 4 – Swakopmund, adventure time!

A full adventure day. There are different options (excluded in trip price): Skydiving over the desert Driving along the beaches Exploring Sandwich Harbour where towering dunes drop straight into the ocean Travelling through the lunar landscapes of the Swakop River Valley. We return to town and stay in a comfortable guesthouse for the night.

Day 5 – Swakopmund to Damaraland

Heading north, we trace sections of the Skeleton Coast — wild shorelines, shipwreck history, stark desert beauty. Tonight we camp in remote Damaraland, surrounded by vast, dramatic landscapes and total isolation.

Day 6 – Damaraland to West Etosha Region

We turn inland toward Etosha National Park. Camp is set just outside the Western edge of the park, preparing for an early start and a full day of wildlife viewing.

Day 7 – Etosha National Park

An early start and full safari day across Etosha’s salt pans and open plains. We move between waterholes in search of elephants, lions, giraffe, rhino and more. By evening, we exit on the Eastern side of the park and camp nearby.

Day 8 – Etosha to Okonjima

Leaving Etosha behind, we head south to the Okonjima region — home to conservation initiatives focused on Namibia’s big cats. The afternoon offers a deeper look into the country’s wildlife protection story.

Day 9 – Okonjima

Guided game drives/walks & Further learning about conservation work. Also some well deserved relaxation time in the afternoon!

Day 10 – Okonjima to Windhoek

This is our final drive, back to Windhoek. We will go to a lovely campsite and have a last group dinner together.

Day 11 – Saying goodbye

This is our least favourite part of the trip. But after dropping the vehicles at the airport, we say goodbye.

Is it safe?

Do I need a visa and vaccinnations?

Visa: Namibia has changed their visa rules in 2025. Most European citizens now require a visa. In most cases this can be done "on arrival". Please check the visa requirements for your specific situation on the official website of the Namibian government.

Vaccinations: recommended are Hepatitis A, Tetanus, Typhoid. We suggest that you check with your healthcare provider what is best for you. There is no risk for yellow fever in Namibia, however, there is a certificate requirement. It is your own responsibility to check if this applies to you.

What kind of food will be provided?

Our chef will create 3 meals per day:

Breakfast is usually yogurt, granola, and fruit.
Lunch consists of sandwiches, wraps, salads, or tupperware goods.
Dinner is a big hearty meal with proteins, carbohydrates, and greens cooked around a fire.

We do accommodate different diets, but to be sure please reach out to us before booking your spot.

What is the group size, and what is the age range of the participants?

Our road trips vary from 12 to 24 people. We're not ageist, but we mostly attract travellers under 45, with the average being in their late twenties or thirties. Everyone is welcome as long as they bring a sense of adventure.

How much driving is involved each day?

We limit our longest drive to 6 hours or 650km. African roads are very straight, which makes for a smooth ride—fine for those prone to motion sickness. This is a 2000km African road trip, so while there will be some longer drives, you'll also have plenty of time to relax, and on some days we stay two nights at a campsite to give you a break from driving

What type of vehicle will I be travelling in?

We travel in a convoy of 4x4 Toyota Hilux safari vehicles, fully equipped for an epic African road trip. Each vehicle features twin rooftop tents, fridges, canopies, extra fuel tanks, stoves, and everything you need for the adventure of a lifetime. Note: you need to be 25+ to be allowed to drive and of course have a valid drivers license.

Where do we stay?

We have a mix of camping and staying in lodges. Our vehicles are equipped with rooftop tents, so you can sleep comfortably while camping. Some night will be in a lodge or guesthouse. Single accommodation might be possible, please inquire for the options

What should I pack for the trip?

We have to pack light using one duffle bag and one small day bag; hard suitcases are not allowed.
You should bring enough clothing to last 2 weeks, including some warmer clothes for the nights. Washing facilities will be available during the trip.

FAQ.

How do I pay?

After filling out the booking form you will receive a payment link for your deposit of 50%
The rest of the balance has to be settled 60 days before departure.

What is you cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure usually receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within 60 days are subject to our terms and conditions. You can find them at the bottom of this page.

Do I need to arrange my own travel insurance?

Absolutely. We require that all travelers have comprehensive travel insurance. This should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and luggage loss. We can provide a list of preferred providers upon request.

Can I customize one of your existing itineraries?

Absolutely! While our group tours have set schedules, our custom trips can be fully tailored to your interests, pace, and budget. Just reach out to our team to start the "Tailor-Made" process.

Do you accommodate solo travelers?

Absolutely! Many of our travelers join our small group tours solo. You can choose to be paired with a same-sex roommate to avoid extra costs, or you can pay a "Single Supplement" if you would prefer the privacy of your own room throughout the trip (depending on the trip and availability).

Are flights included in the package price?

To give our travelers maximum flexibility with loyalty points and preferred airlines, we typically quote "land-only" prices. But of course we can advise you on what flights to take.

Can you accommodate specific dietary requirements?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary needs but it depends on the country/trip. Please inquire before booking your trip.

Can I do something that isn’t listed?

Absolutely. Our listed itineraries are just the beginning. We love crafting custom adventures tailored to your specific goals. We also organise expeditions and work with different film and TV projects.
